Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Water as required
  • Ghee for cooking

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add bajra flour and besan. Mix well.
  • Add chopped methi leaves and onions to the mixing bowl. Mix well.
  • Add ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt to taste. Mix everything together.
  • Add 1 tbsp of oil to the mixture and mix well. This will help to bind the mixture together.
  • Gradually add water to the mixture to form a soft dough. Knead the dough well for about 5 minutes.
  • Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  • After resting, divide the dough into equal-sized balls.
  • On a clean surface, take a dough ball and roll it into a small circle.
  • Heat a tawa or griddle on medium-high heat.
  • Place the rolled roti on the tawa and cook for 1-2 minutes on one side.
  • Flip the roti and cook for another minute on the other side.
  • Apply ghee on both sides of the roti and cook until the roti is crispy and golden brown.
  • Repeat the same process with the remaining dough balls.
  • Serve hot with a side of vegetables or curd.
