For Bread:

  • 6-8 slices of bread
  • Oil for frying

For Dahi (Curd) Mixture:

  • 1 cup thick curd
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped tomato
  • 1 green chili, chopped
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

For Topping:

  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp sweet tamarind chutney
  • 2 tbsp mint chutney
  • 1/4 cup nylon sev
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing


Step 1:

  • To make the curd mixture, take a bowl and add curd, chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped green chili, chopped coriander leaves, and salt to taste. Mix well and keep aside.

Step 2:

  • Take bread slices and cut them into small square pieces. Heat oil in a kadhai and fry the bread pieces until they turn golden brown. Remove them from the kadhai and place them on a tissue paper to remove excess oil.

Step 3:

  • In a separate bowl, take chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and red chili powder. Mix well and keep aside.

Step 4:

  • To assemble the Bread Dahi Chaat, take a plate and arrange the fried bread pieces in a single layer. Pour the curd mixture over the bread pieces.

Step 5:

  • Now, add sweet tamarind chutney and mint chutney over the curd mixture.

Step 6:

  • Sprinkle the chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and red chili powder mixture over the chutneys.

Step 7:

  • Add nylon sev on top of the chaat mixture.

Step 8:

  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Your delicious Bread Dahi Chaat is ready to serve.
