How To make Chole Samosa Chaat? | Instant Chole Samosa Chaat Recipe

Chole Samosa Chaat is a popular Indian street food that is made with crispy samosas and spicy chickpeas in a tangy sauce. This dish is a perfect blend of textures and flavors, making it a hit with everyone.

Here is a breakfast recipe that is easy to prepare and delicious to eat.

Ingredients

For Samosas:

  • All-purpose flour – 1 cup
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ajwain seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil – 3 tablespoons
  • Water – 1/4 cup

For Chole:

  • Chickpeas (cooked) – 1 cup
  • Onion (finely chopped) – 1 medium
  • Tomatoes (finely chopped) – 2 medium
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Amchur powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Water – 1/2 cup

For Chaat:

  • Yogurt – 1/2 cup
  • Green chutney – 2 tablespoons
  • Sweet tamarind chutney – 2 tablespoons
  • Sev – 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves (chopped) – 2 tablespoons

Method:

For Samosas:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, and ajwain seeds.
  • Add 3 tablespoons of oil and mix well until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Add water little by little and knead to make a stiff dough.
  • Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, knead the dough again for a minute.
  • Divide the dough into small equal parts and roll them into small balls.
  • Roll each ball into a thin disc using a rolling pin.
  • Cut each disc into two halves.
  • Take one half and fold it to form a cone.
  • Fill the cone with 1 tablespoon of prepared samosa filling.
  • Apply water to the edges of the cone and seal the edges to form a triangle-shaped samosa.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, add samosas to it and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the samosas from the oil and drain them on a paper towel.

For Chole:

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and amchur powder. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  • Add cooked chickpeas, salt, and water. Mix well and bring it to a boil.
  • Lower the heat and let the chole simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and keep it aside.

For Chaat:

  • Take a serving plate and place 2-3 samosas on it.
  • Pour a ladleful of prepared chole over the samosas.
  • Drizzle green chutney and sweet tamarind chutney over the chole.
  • Spoon yogurt over the chutneys.
  • Sprinkle sev and chopped coriander leaves over the yogurt.
  • Serve hot and enjoy
