  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnish

  • Boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker or pot until they are soft. Once done, peel and chop them into small pieces.

  • Add the boiled potatoes to the pan and stir them for a minute or two.
  • Add the turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Mix everything together until the potatoes are coated with the spices.
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the yogurt to the pan. Stir the mixture until everything is well combined.
  • Let the Dahi Aloo cook for 5-7 minutes on low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • Once done, turn off the heat and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Your Dahi Aloo is now ready to be served. Enjoy it with roti, paratha or rice.

  • To make the dish more flavorful, you can add some grated ginger and garlic to the pan while cooking the potatoes.
  • You can also add some chopped onions and tomatoes to the pan before adding the yogurt for a more textured and savory dish.
  • Make sure to use fresh and thick yogurt for the best results.
  • Adjust the amount of spices according to your taste preferences.
  • You can also add some water to the pan if the yogurt mixture is too thick.
