Ingredients:

  • 1 cup hung curd (thick yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped anjeer (figs)
  • 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 cup chopped mint leaves
  •  1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, add hung curd, chopped anjeer, besan, coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Cover the mixture and let it rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • After 30 minutes, remove the mixture from the refrigerator and shape it into small kebabs.
  • Heat oil in a pan on medium flame.
  • Once the oil is hot, gently place the kebabs in the pan and fry until they turn golden brown.
  • Remove the kebabs from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  • Serve the Dahi Anjeer Ke Kebab hot with mint chutney or any other dip of your choice.

Tips

  • To make hung curd, tie plain yogurt in a muslin cloth and hang it for 2-3 hours to remove excess water.
  • Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying the kebabs, otherwise they will not turn crispy.
  • You can also bake the kebabs in an oven at 180°C for 10-15 minutes instead of frying them.
