  • 1 cup paneer cubes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • Chopped coriander leaves, for garnish


  • Step 1: In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the paneer cubes and fry them until they turn golden brown. Remove the paneer cubes and keep them aside.
  • Step 2: In the same pan, add another tablespoon of butter. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  • Step 3: Add ginger paste and garlic paste to the pan and sauté for a minute.
  • Step 4: Add the tomato puree and stir well. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes on medium heat.
  • Step 5: Add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 6: Add the fried paneer cubes to the pan and mix well.
  • Step 7: Add the cream and kasuri methi to the pan. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 8: Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.


  • To make the tomato puree, blend two tomatoes in a blender until smooth.
  • Use fresh paneer for the best taste.
  • Adjust the spice level according to your taste.
  • Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) is an important ingredient in this recipe. If you don’t have it, you can skip it, but it will affect the taste of the dish.
