  • 2 cups of thick poha
  • 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium-sized tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup of boiled green peas
  • 1/4 cup of boiled potatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup of roasted peanuts
  • 2 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp of tamarind chutney
  • 2 tbsp of green chutney
  • 1 tbsp of chaat masala
  • 1 tsp of red chili powder
  • 1 tsp of cumin powder
  • 1 tsp of coriander powder
  • 1 tsp of amchur powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp of oil


  • To start with, take a colander and wash the poha under running water for a few seconds. Once done, transfer it to a large mixing bowl.
  • Now, take a pan and heat 2 tbsp of oil over medium flame. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
  • Now, add the boiled green peas and boiled potatoes to the pan and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Once done, transfer the cooked vegetables to the mixing bowl containing poha.
  • Add the roasted peanuts, chopped coriander leaves, chaat masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, amchur powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well.
  • Add the tamarind chutney and green chutney to the bowl and mix everything well.
  • Once everything is mixed well, give it a taste and adjust the seasoning accordingly.
  • Garnish with some more coriander leaves and roasted peanuts.
  • Serve the Poha Chaat immediately and enjoy!
