Walnut Brownie Gujiya is a delicious and indulgent dessert that combines the traditional Indian sweet Gujiya with the rich flavors of chocolate and walnuts. This dessert is perfect for special occasions or as a treat for yourself.

Here’s a step-by-step recipe to make Walnut Brownie Gujiya:

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm milk
  • A pinch of salt

For the filling:

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For frying:

    • Oil
    • For garnishing:
    • Powdered sugar

Instructions:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, a pinch of salt, and ghee. Mix the ingredients until they resemble breadcrumbs.
  • Add lukewarm milk to the mixture and knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic. Cover the dough and set it aside for 30 minutes.
  • While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. In a separate bowl, mix together the chopped walnuts, chocolate chips, condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Heat a non-stick pan on low heat and add the filling mixture. Stir the mixture until the chocolate chips have melted and the ingredients are well combined. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out into circles of around 3-4 inches in diameter.
  • Place a tablespoon of the filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the circle in half and seal the edges by pressing them together with your fingers or a fork.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the gujiyas and fry them until they are golden brown on both sides. Drain the excess oil and place them on a paper towel.
  • Once the gujiyas have cooled, sprinkle powdered sugar on top and serve.
  • Your Walnut Brownie Gujiyas are ready to be served. This recipe is a unique twist on the traditional Gujiya and is sure to impress your friends and family. Enjoy!
